Stacked
October 15, 2012 Now that our weather has really started to feel like fall the last few days, I've been thinking about a roaring fire in the fireplace. I personally love a wood burning fireplace and am lucky enough to have two of them in my house. There is something about hearing the crackle that I just love. While it's just not quite cold enough to light a fire, I can't help but look at some beautiful ways to stack the wood. I keep mine in a basket, but wish I had a spot like one of these to store it.

Love the texture....we just have fake cement logs...but I do love a fire. Still warm here though. Happy Monday!
Beautiful photos, but reality is scuffed walls from placing and retriving the wood and dirty floors. Unfortunately with the beauty of fires comes mess. I still enjoy a beautiful fire though.
Marianne, I always think a stack of wood like this looks great but the reality of having to pull one out for a fire hits and it would mess up the great composition. I think I would just have to leave it alone and let it look pretty, Happy Monday,

I love the look of stacked wood like these - I'd just leave it there to look great and then have a basket nearby for really building a fire! :) I'm with you - I'm ready to build a roaring fire too! Hope the weekend was fab. :)
Love that too! It is finally going to be in the 50s tonight and 70s tomorrow. Doesn't seem like autumn!
Nothing more comforting than a fire. Looking forward to it.

I am ready for some crisp weather . It has been in the 80's and I can't even keep my months straight. I love a good roaring fire. Now my brother in Red Lodge , Montana has a stack as big as my house, crazy!
Love the look of stacked wood too...we have had already a few very cold nights, the fireplace season is officially here.
I am so with you! We have a gas fireplace, boo. The warmth is still nice though. I would love to move into the images above! Beautiful.
How lucky you are to have 2 wood fireplaces - heaven! Love those wood stacks :)
still in paris but had to pop by and say bonjour, madame.
can't wait to get my supply of wood. i love stacking it in the fireplace since we don't use it as much as our upstairs one. a very charming parfumeur at diptyque introduced me to their fireplace scented candle which he recommends in combination with another one i love. much less mess lighting a candle, oui`/
