Pool Party
March 19, 2012 While the rest of the country has been enjoying above average temperatures, our little pocket here in the Pacific Northwest is feeling less than desirable outside. We have seen snowflakes fall, although little has been sticking to the ground, and the feeling of 41 degrees outside is not my idea of spring. Yes, I have lived here my entire life, but some days it just sounds good to put the house on the market and move south. Instead of making a rash decision, I figure I'd host a little pool part here on the blog to transport myself to another climate. Anyone care to join me?
One of my favorites by Ferguson & Shamamian...
Source unknown on the next two, but they are lovely...
Greystone in Beverly Hills...
My boyfriend, Steven Gambrel, designed this one...
Here's another by Ferguson & Shamamian...
Here's to better weather coming soon, although it looks like we're in for more of the same this week.
Yikes, I think I should look into booking a vacation.

I wish I could jump into the screen and into one of those pools right now! How long have you and Steven been dating?? :)
Yes , a vacation to come visit me! I kinda got obsessed with Downton Abbey ;) I am ready for season 3 with Shirley McLain .i got my two oldest daughters hooked. My husband couldn't stand being around all of our DA talk on Sunday . I decided to put my phone in the room with him and have my daughter call it, we burst out laughing when it rang... Downton Abbey ringtone ! It is the little things. PS did I mentionI am presently sunburned? Come visit!
I'll join you but in my state it's in the seventies and stunning! Your "boyfriend" designed a fabulous looking pool area!

We have a pool in our backyard and I must admit it is nice to see out there and in the summer fun to see the kiddos swimming and having fun. Living in California is kind of nice, but I think all areas have their beauty. Just look at all the mountains and beautiful green scenery you have because of the rain. I lived in Washington so I can say I do feel your pain. A vacation sounds great!! May I recommend Carmel Calif. it is so beautiful there, Happy Monday,

I love the look of a pool...lanterns around it at night. Such a wonderful way to entertain in the summer. It is quite chilly here in southern california...sorry for all those people here on spring break looking for the perfect beach day.
You are welcome to our 84 degrees (VA) way too warm for spring. Hope its not a taste of what is to come. These pool settings are beautiful.
Beautiful images (I have a pool - and trust me, it doesn't look anything like these!) Pools are extremely high maintenance - it is obvious that a lot of work has gone into these! Thanks so much for sharing - enjoy your Monday. Jalon
Beautiful outdoor areas!! I'd love to send you some of my 80 degree weather!!

It's amazing how we have identical taste... but Steven Gambrel is not your boyfriend - he is definitely mine!
What a dreamy post and what picture perfect backyards! Heck yes I will join you....the weather has been perfect in the last 2 days, high 60's low 70's, unusual but wonderful. I am afraid though of what this could mean for the summer......not a fan of humidity!!
All lovely!! Yes, today is supposed to be another warm one here!! But must agree with Tina - makes me a bit nervous for summer!!
