Live, Eat, Breathe

I'm not going to lie to you.  I have been working round the clock lately.  Some days for 18 hours plus.  And yes, sometimes I wake up in middle of the night adding to my 'punch list' for things that need to get done.  Sometimes I even get on my computer and 3:00am to research something that has popped in my pretty little head.  I guess when you love what you do it doesn't seem to matter.  I thrive on it.  As I told a client today, I live, eat and breathe design.  It's in my blood and I savor every second of it.  I know I've been a little scarce in the blog world lately, but I have every good reason.  I have an incredible client installation this Friday, next week my own house is getting photographed and I've got a few other things up my sleeve that I'm so excited to share with you all.  Lots of changes on the way!  Needless to say my 'free' time is very limited right now.  The best photo I can even muster up is the bouquet of white tulips at my desk.  See, it's the little things that make me happy!  Oh, and in keeping it real, I had to pull away several stacks of things piling up on the desk to even take a decent photo.  The office doesn't always look this pretty!

So, today I leave you with this quote from Bill Rancic's twitter feed @BillRancic and couldn't agree with it more...

"Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If U love what U R doing you will be successful." -Albert Schweitzer

Amen to that!

Love the silver cup!
My husband and I repeat the first part of that quote all. the. time. It's one of my favorites :)
Glad you are living it.

I could have written these exact words,Marianne. I never have a lot of down time. I am a busy body. I also wake up in the middle of the night if I have a lot on my plate.
I love your home and your desk looks amazing with the beautiful flowers, and every girl need a candle!
Love the quote. Saving.
Happy Wednesday.

Isn't it exciting when you are so jazzed about a project that you get up at 3 am to add to the dream list.

Have fun with the whirlwind this week.

Hello!

I am sure that everything you are working on is amazing, and if you are doing what you love that makes it all the more special. You are lucky to have a job that brings you so much JOY.

Remember though, to take a little rest and be good to yourself, even if it is just to sit and enjoy a cup of tea.

Have a wonderful day, Elizabeth

Marianne, so glad to hear all is going well for you. I totally understand living and breathing design. I remember the feeling, since I am retired I still almost leave it and breathe it, but not for work any longer, merely for pleasure. It is in our blood, part of our being.Something that I feel God has gifted me with the ability and to allow me to enjoy and earn money in the process. So glad you found your stride and wonderful things are coming your way! Kathysue

I agree with Bill AND Albert. By the way, the tulips are pretty, but I love your wallpaper. Have a successful week.

All great things! I am excited for you becaue I can tell you are having fun....and thats what make it so worth "the work"...if you are enjoying what you do. I am like you....often get up at the oddest hour if something occurs to me, looooong days, though I have been getting into bed lately 10ish which is early for me....just putting so much into my days.
