Grasscloth

I'm really excited to be working on a few projects where grasscloth is being used.  This is one of my favorite ways to add texture to a room whether your adding it to the walls, a ceiling or lining the back of a bookcase.  It seriously makes me weak in the knees! Grasscloth is that extra layer that gives a room it's oomph and wow factor.  Who wouldn't want that!?

Love how it transforms this bedroom...

A complete showstopper when used on the ceiling...

Incredible in a nursery...

It even comes in some pretty amazing colors...

Seriously, so gorgeous...

Have you considered or used grasscloth in your home?

I would have never thought of putting grass cloth in the bedroom with the same linen on the headboard - but this is wonderful.

I absolutely love grasscloth!! I definitely want to use it somewhere in our new home - the only question is where! :) Several of the rooms won't work for various reasons but perhaps on an accent wall in our bedroom.

Marianne,
Love your grasscloth post. I too love it. I have been using it since the 70's and it never goes out of style. The wow picture for me was the ceiling. Spectacular. I can't wait to find client who will let me do that. I have put "faux grass cloth" on a bathroom celing. It was in an Asian Garden Cabana bath. I did it in green and it was such an unexpected touch. I think I did a post on it in my blog www.decordreamsandschemes.com a while ago. Still faux is not the same and I too love the opportunity to introduce texture. Thanks!

Shoot...it would not let me leave a comment before. Any way we are using it in blue green at a law firm...with antiques and modern chairs. Pretty photos!

Gorgeous images ! I am gaga over grass cloth . I was thrilled to see he 3rd image showing grass cloth with matchstick/ bamboo blinds. That has been my one main concern with moving ahead using grass cloth . Great post. Happy Friday!

I have loved grasscloth since the late seventies. It was on all sophisticated walls. I had it in my office and loved it.
I love it just as much now as I did them. I just knew flame stitch and grasscloth were coming back. I'm in!
These images are great , Marianne.! Love each one.
Have a great weekend.

Marianne!
Love this post. I just used grasscloth for the first time (I know...kind of behind the times) in my bookshelves in my family room. I love the texture and depth they give to that space. I also have a grasscloth picked out for another room....just waiting until we finish a few other needed projects. I could do and redo each week, if I was able.

Hope you're having the most wonderful weekend!
xoxo Elizabeth
