Kitchen Of The Year
July 18, 2012 Each year I look forward to the House Beautiful Kitchen of the Year which you can tour in New York's Rockefeller Center until July 20th. This year's simple and elegant kitchen was designed by Mick De Giulio and is 1,000 square feet! Can you even imagine having a kitchen that large? What a dream place to entertain in!
You know I'm a big fan of a white kitchen and this one hits high marks from me!

Check out the butler's pantry! Love the blue ceiling and gilded iron lights, gorgeous!

Now this is a great way to store your pots and pans! Pefectly displayed.

The open shelving keeps everything in perfect reach.

The rustic table, mismatched chairs and chandelier all add to the warm vibe of the space.

Of course, no dream kitchen is complete without an incredible outdoor space.

I don't know about you, but I think this Kitchen of the Year is fabulous!

Hello Marianne,
How are you doing? I've being missing you! I hope you're having a great summer.
This kitchen is so fabulous! But somehow, it doesn't feel homey to me. It's STUNNING, but I feel a bit too busy, too much. I guess I prefer having things not displayed, I like a cleaner look. Am I the only one? Probably!!! LOL
Have a great day, sweetie.

Oh, mercy! Every time I see Mick DeGiulio's work, I drool! And this is no exception.
i love it and i love their work. so fun to visit their showroom at the merch mart where ideas and inspiration bowl me over.the table/chairs are rather unexpected, don't you think? it's one thing to have the guts to try such a pairing but quite another to actually make it work!
love to you.

It totally...not one thing I don't like.
Such great classic lines with little unique twists sprinkled in...what a great design! It looks like a white fridge - to tie into the cabinetry perhaps? Or maybe it's stainless and it's just the picture. If white, that would be a bold choice! And yes, a complete kitchen definitely extends to the outdoors! What great eye candy.
wow! Its' gorgeous. Really loving the open shelving.
Yes, very nice indeed! However, my pots don't look that nice to be on display like that.
Absolutely gorgeous kitchen!!

I love that it is a white kitchen but then so much more - it is warm and sleek all in one - which is perfection to me!
What a stunning kitchen ... I love the strong contrasts

I love it! I love having everything displayed. Makes it easy to find things, put things away and I love the look. I just missed seeing it in person again...maybe next year...
Miss you! Hope you are enjoying your summer? You know I love the kitchen of the year. I found my favorite kitchen table from last year's Tyler Florence 's design ! What a find:))))

There are some cool outdoor kitchens and I wanting to try it in my home. I want a small one so I can integrate it with garage door openers in Perth.
