Pretty

Just some pretty flowers on my desk to start the week off right.  While I'm dying for a trip to a much warmer, sunnier climate, I'll have to settle for some flowers in my office to power through our ugly weather and my crazy schedule.  Happy Monday, everyone!  Hope it's off to a great start!

Honored

What a lovely surprise from Sherri from Inside Out Design.  I'm honored that she included my office in her post on wallpaper.  I'm still in love with it as much as the day I chose it.  I love working in here every day!  Be sure to pop on over and say hello.  You can also see some of the other beautiful papers fellow designers and bloggers are using in their projects.  All so pretty!

And, another huge thank you goes out to Nancy from Marucs Design for including my Schumacher Shantung Silhouette fabric in her post 'Current Fabric & Wallpaper Obsessions'.  This fabric has been at my workroom for over a month and cannot wait to get the call to come pick up.  If you recall when I first showed it, it's for my new roman shade in my kitchen.  Cannot wait!

Office Reveal

First off, I am back from a very relaxing staycation.  Why on earth don't I do this more often?  I must say I loved every single second of it.  Oh yeah, and the spa day... amazing!

Well, I know you have all been waiting for the reveal of my office makeover.  Aren't you glad I'm not making you wait until late October when my new Visual Comfort lamp arrives? While I'm waiting for my little pretty, I used another lamp from around the house in it's place for photos.

I'm madly in love with my wallpaper.  L.O.V.E. it!  I kept my existing desk and lateral file cabinet since they aren't very old and are extremely functional.  I love having a file for every little thing.  I can be a wee bit OCD when it comes to organization.  I simply can't function in chaos.  I even had my electrician add an outlet and phone jack in my closet so my wireless all-in-one machine wasn't sitting out on my cabinet any longer.  So smart of me! 

The ceiling and other walls were painted in Farrow & Ball's Skimming Stone.  The color is absolutely perfect!  This space is not only where I work, but also where I write my blog.

Charlotte loves sitting on the chair in the other corner of the office.  I think she's partial to the soft velvet.  What can I say... the pup has great taste!  She's such a sweet little angel.

So, there you have it.  I hope you all enjoyed my little tour.  I promise to show you my new lamp when it arrives...

Office Makeover: Wallpaper Up

Look what is now up in my office!  Can I just tell you how absolutely in love I am with this paper?  When I first saw it completed, it took by breath away.  I knew I loved it before, but even more so now.  And, just in case you are wondering, I hired a professional installer for this job.  I wouldn't even think about hanging it myself.

As soon as I get the office put back together, I'll share the final reveal!

Office Makeover: Painting

I'm guessing you'd probably like to see a photo of my office that's getting the makeover.  Here it is in all it's glory before the paint went up.  Not too exciting, I know.  The room is on the small side, 8' x 9.5', so maximizing my work space is essential.

Here's a shot from the doorway, look past the mess I have going on.  At least I got a cold beverage from Starbucks to keep me going...

And, here's a look at the wall that's getting wallpapered...

The photos above were taken before the paint went up.  I love the color I chose, Farrow & Balls's Skimming Stone.  It's such a nice complement to the paper that's going on the wall..
