Meet Sophie

No, I didn't get another dog, but my sister did!  Meet darling little Sophie.  She's an 8 week old Shih Tsu and oh, so cute!  My Dad's dogs had puppies and Sophie is one of them.  Look how perfect she blends in with her kitchen rug!

Here's her other dog, Abby, a mini Dachshund.  My nephew tossed this gift tag around her last Christmas.

We are one dog lovin' family!

Splendid Willow

I was absolutely thrilled when I won Monika's giveaway on Splendid Willow.  Have your seen her fabulous blog?  It's pure eye candy my friends!  Today in the mail I received this gorgeous book, Danish Modern, and a fun holiday cd by Pink Martini!  You want to hear something really crazy???  We realized that we only live about 15 minutes away from each other!  Monika, we are meeting for coffee soon!!!

Don't you just love getting gift cards in the mail from your favorite retailers!?  The other day I received a $50 card from Tory Burch, the catch was it had to be used by December 31st.  I went to my local Tory Burch boutique today and snagged this cashmere and sequin hat for only $5, that's right, only $5 after I applied my gift card!!!  Now, I wouldn't have paid the sale price of $67 for it, let alone the original price of $95, but they were also offering another 25% off sale merchandise.  What a deal!  It has sequins on it, the same color as the hat, even though it doesn't show up in this photo.  I'm sure I will look dazzling this winter in my new hat!

Shopping: Pacific Galleries

One of my favorite places to go in Seattle is Pacific Galleries.  It's filled to the brim with amazing antiques and other lovlies.  I spent a bit of time here yesterday and want to share a few of my favorite things.  These photos were taken with my iphone, so I apoligize in advance for the poor photo quality.

They have loads of vintage and vintage inspired lights.  Here are a few that caught my eye...

And now, on to other merchandise...  this metal table was calling my name.  That's a driftwood fireplace mantel in the background!  How great would that be in a beach house!?

If you're looking for a worn leather chair, this is the place to go!  This one would be great with a new cushion.  Loving the nailhead trim!

This vintage painting came home with me.  It's going in my guest bedroom. I have the perfect spot for it!

I think I'll need a little more cash at the ATM to complete all of the things on my wishlist here!
